Brother Paul’s writing a WHAT?!!

Good morning, everybody!

I received an e-mail from a good friend of mine, and I had explained what new project I was working on, and she thought it was interesting.

Now, although I cannot share the details of it, due to potential copyright issues, I can say that Brother Paul is working on a very unique screenplay. When this screenplay is finished, it could very well be a great tool for Christians to be able to explain the TRUTH about Christ.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I think some tele-vangelists are doing all right. But, there are others who are not focusing on the truth. Like I told my friend, I find it bizarre that a Mexican comedian, who usually has very blue humor, is one of the few who got it right about the ending of the Passion of the Christ movie. When everybody else in the theatre was weeping over the death of the Savior, he was standing up and yelling, “It’s okay. He gets to come back in 3 days.”

Too many “preachers” who seem to find a way to turn God’s name into three syllables when they speak this one syllable title for Jehovah, {(as in Go-aaah-duh) I don’t know why they think this makes his name more holy, because it doesn’t. Especially since his proper Hebrew name was more likely Yahweh (pronounced Yaw-way), which is still only two syllables.} seem to focus on the need for money to continue the work of the Lord. Now, I’m not saying that a person who devotes their service to the Lord is NOT entitled to money, as even “the oxen who treads the grain is entitled to eat some of the grain.” But, the focus is usually, not always, in the wrong areas.

First, as James said, “Pure Christianity is this: to take care of the widows and orphans.”

Second, during the old Testament Levitical priesthood, (which went away when Christ died and the curtain to the Holy of Holies was torn in two, thus allowing all to come to God, through Christ as the mediator), the 10 percent was given to the priesthood so they could be taken care of.

Third, buildings for churches (the people ARE the church, not the building) to meet in did not come into existence until sometime in the third or fourth century.

The problem is the focus becomes on the money, instead of the serving of other people.

In Matthew 25, we see that the people that go to heaven, were the ones who waited and served others. Not the ones who necessarily went to church every Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night. (I’ve always thought it was funny that some considered “faithfullness” being based on attendance to a worship meeting. Worship meetings were designed for brothers and sisters in Christ to encourage one another and lift one another up, not to go and listen to a preacher and say, “Yep, I’m going to heaven for having listened to that preacher.”)

When we look at the “meaning of life” which I’m purposely translating as “the purpose of our life,” it’s to help one another with the skills God gave us.

God instilled in me the want to be a writer. And, if I am to glorify HIM with this power, then I need to write a screenplay that will help bring people to the truth about Christ and why he was sent here for our sins, rather than to use this gift that God gave me to make outrageous sums of money, by NOT focusing on the proper priorities.

When all the registrations are set in place, and I have properly protected this work by copyright, I will probably share more of the details with you.

In the meantime, make it a great day in the Lord!

Brother Paul
