Okay, many of you are going has
Brother Paul started taking some
kind of drugs that’s turned him
upside down.
Nope.
This is what was featured on a program
that was on one of the cable channels
about a guy that makes a living planning
fancy parties.
He frequently asks for $500,000 up
front to make the party “special.”
I don’t want to judge this guy.
But, I just don’t think that is what we
were put on this earth to accomplish.
There’s nothing wrong with money.
Remember, the proper translation for
Paul, the apostle’s, verse is:
The LOVE of money is the root of all
kinds of evil.
Money needs to circulate to do
good.
And, money needs to be used to
purchase things tht can be used.
But, one of the ladies on that “party”
show, had to be a $300,000 ring to
show off to all her “guests.”
Although I understand Stephen Colbert
of the Comedy Channel is being
facetious, he did make a statement
I thoroughly enjoyed.
“Clothes don’t make the man, Mr.
Calvin Klein. It’s God that makes
the man.”
You were not put on this earth
to impress a lot of people which
how much money you have.
You were not put on this earth
to be God’s gift (body-wise) to
men (or women).
You were not put on this
earth to show how out-
rageous you can be. (I
think I’ve already got a
pretty good corner on
that market, thank you
very much.)
God put a talent or a gift
within you that you can
use to benefit other
people, as well as
survive financially.
It is upon YOU to find that
gift (or gifts) and talent (or
talents, and use it for good.
Then, when you are rewarded
financially, you can buy things
that you can USE.
TV is full of people that abuse
money. One certain celebrity
recently announced she does
not SAVE any of her money,
but spends it on clothes and
whatever she feels like.
And, yet, the public, at large,
is fascinated by this individual
as well as other celebrities
who try to act as outrageously
as they can.
What they really should be
doing is finding their own talent,
and seeing how well they can
help other people.
There’s nothing wrong with
being famous.
I can name a lot of famous
people who were not known
for their outrageous
behavior.
Let’s see, how about
Bill W. of Alcholics
Anonymous.
Mother Theresa
Joel Osteen
Billy Graham
I can even name a
few regular celebrities who
are not known for outrageous
behavior:
Lou Gossett, Jr.
Bill Cosby
Jeff Foxworthy
What’s the point?
The point is this, there’s
nothing wrong with fame.
But, if what you do off-screen
is more noted than what you
do on-screen, then you are
not focusing on your skill.
Find the skill within you
that God put there. Use it
for good.
You’ll find it easily, because
it’s what you desire.
Not, what you lust after.
Lust is only for self-gratification.
It’s evident in the woman who wanted
a $300,000 ring to impress her guests.
Or, the celebrity that had a $400,000
gold toilet.
Desire does good for all.
Look within you, and you will know.
Make it a great day in the Lord!
Brother Paul
